Terms of Service
Effective date: April 27, 2026
These Terms of Service govern your use of Mouse, including the website, mobile app, relay, waitlist, hosted agent features, connected integrations, and related services. By using Mouse, you agree to these Terms. If you are using Mouse for an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.
Questions about these Terms can be sent to hello@mouse.app.
1. The service
Mouse is a mobile command center for cloud coding agents. It helps you start, supervise, approve, and review work performed by connected agent providers and hosted runtimes. Mouse is a remote control for agents; it is not an on-device code execution environment.
Mouse may include:
- mobile and web interfaces;
- a relay that stores thread state, routes requests, streams events, and sends push notifications;
- integrations with GitHub, Cursor, Anthropic, OpenAI, OpenRouter, Stripe, Apple, Google, Expo, and similar services;
- bring-your-own-key provider connections;
- Mouse-hosted runs, usage metering, spend caps, subscriptions, and billing tools;
- beta, experimental, or waitlist-only features.
We may change, suspend, or discontinue features as Mouse evolves. We will try to give reasonable notice when a material change negatively affects active users.
2. Accounts and eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old and legally able to agree to these Terms. You are responsible for your account, devices, credentials, repositories, provider keys, and all activity under your account.
Keep your sign-in methods and provider credentials secure. Notify us promptly if you believe your Mouse account, device, repository access, or connected provider key has been compromised.
3. Connected providers and repositories
Mouse only works with services you connect or authorize. You are responsible for:
- complying with the terms and policies of connected providers, including GitHub, Cursor, Anthropic, OpenAI, OpenRouter, Apple, Google, and Stripe;
- making sure you have permission to connect repositories, branches, issues, pull requests, secrets, infrastructure, and provider accounts;
- reviewing permissions before installing the Mouse GitHub App or granting OAuth access;
- costs, usage, rate limits, bans, suspensions, or other consequences from third-party services you connect.
If you bring your own provider key, the provider may bill you directly. If you use Mouse-hosted runs, Mouse may bill you as described at checkout or in the app.
4. Your content and agent output
You keep ownership of your prompts, repository content, messages, diffs, plans, transcripts, and other content you provide to Mouse. You grant Mouse the rights needed to operate the service, including storing, transmitting, processing, displaying, and routing that content to the providers and repositories you connect.
Agent outputs may include code, plans, comments, summaries, diffs, commands, pull requests, and other generated artifacts. To the extent Mouse has rights in outputs generated for you, we assign those rights to you, subject to these Terms and the rules of any connected provider.
You are responsible for reviewing agent output before relying on it, running it, deploying it, merging it, or sharing it. Mouse does not guarantee that generated code is correct, secure, non-infringing, production-ready, or suitable for your project.
5. Acceptable use
You may use Mouse only for lawful, authorized purposes. You may not use Mouse to:
- violate laws, regulations, sanctions, export controls, or third-party rights;
- access, modify, or attack code, accounts, systems, repositories, or infrastructure without authorization;
- create, deploy, or improve malware, credential theft, spam, phishing, botnets, evasion tooling, or other harmful systems;
- harass, abuse, surveil, dox, or threaten people;
- bypass rate limits, billing controls, security controls, or provider restrictions;
- reverse engineer Mouse except where law allows it despite this restriction;
- interfere with the operation, security, or integrity of Mouse or connected services;
- upload content you do not have the right to use.
We may suspend or terminate access, remove content, disable integrations, or contact providers or authorities if we believe use of Mouse creates legal, security, abuse, or operational risk.
6. Billing, subscriptions, and hosted usage
Paid features may include subscriptions, included credits, usage-based charges, metered hosted runs, top-ups, or overage limits. Prices, included amounts, renewal periods, and limits are shown at checkout or in the app.
By starting a paid plan or hosted usage, you authorize Mouse and its payment processor to charge your payment method for applicable fees, taxes, renewals, usage, and overages. Unless stated otherwise, subscriptions renew automatically until canceled.
You can cancel through the available billing flow. Cancellation stops future renewals but does not automatically refund past charges. Refunds are provided where required by law or where we choose to grant them. You remain responsible for charges already incurred, including third-party provider charges from bring-your-own-key usage.
7. Beta features
Mouse may offer beta, preview, waitlist, experimental, or early-access features. These features may be incomplete, unstable, rate-limited, or changed without notice. We may remove beta data or reset beta functionality as needed to improve the product.
8. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how Mouse collects and uses information. By using Mouse, you also agree to the Privacy Policy.
9. Software and open source
Mouse may include software components governed by open-source licenses. Those licenses apply to the relevant components and may grant you additional rights. Except for those components, Mouse and its software, design, branding, documentation, and technology are owned by Mouse or its licensors.
You may not use Mouse names, logos, or branding in a way that suggests endorsement or affiliation without permission.
10. Service availability and disclaimers
Mouse depends on networks, app stores, cloud infrastructure, databases, push notification services, model providers, GitHub, payment processors, and other third parties. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, delivery of notifications, preservation of all data, or successful completion of agent runs.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Mouse is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain disclaimers, so some of this section may not apply to you.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Mouse will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, lost goodwill, security incidents, business interruption, provider charges, repository damage, or deployment failures arising from or related to Mouse or these Terms.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Mouse's total liability for all claims arising from or related to Mouse or these Terms is limited to the greater of: (a) the amount you paid Mouse for the service in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim; or (b) $100.
12. Indemnity
To the extent permitted by law, you will defend and indemnify Mouse from claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising from your content, your repositories, your use of Mouse, your connected providers, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of law or third-party rights.
13. Termination
You may stop using Mouse at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, create risk for Mouse or others, fail to pay fees, cause provider or infrastructure issues, or if continued service would be unlawful or impractical.
After termination, provisions that by their nature should survive will survive, including ownership, payment obligations, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnity, and dispute-related terms.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as Mouse changes. If changes are material, we will provide reasonable notice through the website, app, email, or another appropriate channel. The updated Terms will show the effective date above. Continued use of Mouse after updated Terms take effect means you accept them.
